November 22, 2013

What a blessing to be able to show God's love and put together Thanksgiving food baskets with boxes of extra food all donated to the Lutheran Seminarians. Our class brought in $40.00 to help pay for turkeys!!
As a class we set a goal to bring in change to  buy a turkey for the Thanksgiving Baskets.
Each turkey costs $20.  We collected $40 and bought 2 turkeys!!
I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and remember to Thank Jesus for all of His blessings.

Zion has a Thanksgiving church service on Wednesday night at 7:00pm and Thursday morning at 9:00am.

ADVENT SERVICE:

We lead the Advent Worship service WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 18 at 10 am and 7 pm.

Each child has an individual speaking part.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that your child learns their speaking part. I have put the speaking parts in your child's homework folder and learning the part loud and slow is the memory work for the week of December 2.
At the 10 am service your child should just wear the school uniform and for the 7 pm service your child may wear church clothes or school uniform.

A BIG thank you to the moms and grandma who came to help us paint like Eric Carle.  I could not have done it without you!!  We will be finishing the project on the two and a half days before Thanksgiving.  Look at the pictures of us painting with texture!

I am thankful for you!  God has blessed me with a great class and group of parents.  I thank God for you. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving, may you enjoy time with family and friends, and may you keep Christ at the center of your celebrations.

IN HIM,
Amy Bernhardt

We are bringing our gifts of food.

The student council lead chapel and

We played a number game.

We had to guess what number was under the cube.

We made sneaky silent e puppets.

Silent e changes fin to fine...

... and cap to cape.
Look at us painting!

We made a story scroll for the Elijah and the prophets of baal.

We decorate rocks to remind us that "The Lord, He is God.  1 Kings 18:39"
Ask your child about the rock and story.
