Our November Offerings go to make Thanksgiving food baskets for Seminarian Families.
This men have dedicated 4 years to the education of becoming a pastor.  As a school we want to support and thank them for answering God's call to service and spreading God's Word.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20 we ask that the students bring in non perishable Thanksgiving food.  All money collected in the month of November will go toward the purchase of turkeys and perishable food.
The goal is to make up 30 Thanksgiving Baskets.

Three congregations of the Lutheran Church in the Philippines (LCP), a partner church with The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, are in the area hardest hit by Typhoon Haiyan, which tore through the country Friday, Nov. 8 and is one of the strongest storms ever recorded. At least one of those congregations is reported to have significant damage.
More than 10,000 people are feared dead and thousands more have lost their homes in the wake of the typhoon  — also known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Yolanda.

It is a joy for me to see your child's faith grow.  Please continue to nurture their faith by worshipping God this weekend.  We talked about Solomon building the temple and the gifts God gives us in corporate worship: Forgiveness, His Word, Grace, Fellowship, and The Holy Spirit.  We need to be in Church and joyfully receive His gifts.

In HIM,

We had a great time this week learning about: David and Goliath,  action verb super heroes, the food chain, and cup stacking day! Enjoy the pictures and videos!

We made food chain cup stackers.

We played charades and acted out verbs...
...blink...
...dance...
...listen...
...spin...
...jump...
...clap...
...look at all of the action verbs!
We made VERB SUPER HEROS!
VERBS MEAN ACTION!!

We made Story Bags to help retell the story of David and Goliath!
We practiced with a sling shot and pom pom 'rocks'.

We then got into groups and made the story come to life with life size drawings.

Ask your child about the Math Super Heroes and Math Villains!
We participated in the World Record Stack Up!
We tried to break our own personal best speed records, played in the giant cup area,  had relay races,
and went head to head with friends in a speed competition.

We cheered for our friends an had a great time!!
Ask your child about our new writing tool.
See if they can tell you the rhyme to help organize their thoughts and writing.
