Lent begins next week on March 1 with Ash Wednesday. Lent is my favorite time of the church year. I like the Wednesday after school church services, and I have to admit I also like the meals following. During Lent I try to recommit myself to personal devotions and prayer. This is a time to focus on Jesus and His great love for us. Jesus gave His life so that I can life.
For it is by GRACE you have been saved through faith and this is not from yourselves it is a gift of God, not a result of works so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
There is nothing I can do to gain forgiveness and eternal life it is God's gift through Jesus! So instead of giving something up for Lent try doing the opposite and adding something ... maybe commit to Wednesday night church, attend Sunday Bible Classes, do personal devotions, do family devotions, or make weekend worship a priority in your family. I know your faith life will be strengthened.
Join us in Lent worship each Wednesday at 3:30 and 7:00.
LENT WORSHIP CENTERS: Monday we will be making a worship center for your home to help you will Lent Devotions. This will come home on Tuesday with a Devotion Booklet. The cross can be used like an advent wreath, as you light a candle each week till Easter. Lent begins on Wednesday so you will light the candle and add candles on Wednesdays. I hope this helps your family focus your thoughts to Christ this Lent. If you need a Lent family devotion book please let me know. Thank you to my husband for cutting out the crosses for us.

Thank you Bobcat Nation! You have once again shown your generosity and compassion for others in a huge way. We have had another record breaking year raising money for the American Heart Association. Our goal for the year was $12,000.00 but we actually raised over $16,400.00. Students turned in donations ranging from $5.00 to $1,500.00. Each donation made a difference and together our donations will make a huge difference right here in Missouri. Thank you Bobcats! Thank you volunteers who helped with our events! Thank you Lord for your endless blessings!
This week started of rocky with children listening and following my directions. As you saw a began a behavior chart for everyone in the class. I am please to say by Thursday the class had improved greatly!!!! We even had extra time in the day and were ready to go 5 minutes earlier than normal.
