Calling Drew’s Avengers!
On Wednesday, October 24 we will be having a special offering. In honor of Drew Albrittons’ 9th birthday, we will be collecting superhero items that will be delivered to Friends of Kids with Cancer.
Drew was a preschooler here at Zion who bravely fought cancer and now is with the biggest superhero of all, Jesus!
Please bring your superhero items to chapel on Wednesday, October 24. Action figures, costumes, toys, movies, backpacks, Lego sets, video games, shirts, or any items with a super hero theme are all welcome.

A NOTE FROM THE OFFICE:
What a pleasure it is for teachers and parents to meet around the progress of your child. Zion has taken Thursday, October 18th as a day to do just that. No academic instruction on that Thursday, but a time for communication and learning for parents and teachers. Please honor this time as you sign up for your conference with the teacher.
You will be able to sign up for your time starting on Monday, October 8. Teachers have been instructed by Administration NOT to “make up” these appointments at a time outside of Thursday the 18th. Thank you in advance for the understanding of the efficiency of teacher’s schedules. Enjoy your Friday the 19th as a fall break day!!

We have been looking at how God took care of the children of Israel. We thank God for the many ways he takes care of us, too! I look forward to worshipping with you this weekend. Come between 9-9:30 and enjoy a donut in the church basement. Then spend time in Bible Study and Sunday School at 9:30. Finish up the morning with 10:30 worship! t was about the artist Frida Kahlo as a child. She overcame many obstacles to make her dreams come true. Ask your child about the great play. We also studied her artwork in art.
