This week we learned that the angel told that baby should be named JESUS, which means "GOD SAVES".
The prophets foretold that Jesus name would be EMMANUEL, which means, "GOD IS WITH US"
Make time this weekend to worship and prepare your heart for the Baby who came to earth to be WITH US and to SAVE US!
For the morning service your child should just wear the school uniform, no 'fancy' clothes please.
For the evening service please have your child in the church basement at between 6:45-6:50. Please keep your child's coat. Please do not drop your child off in the church basement before 6:45. Please DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED IN THE CHURCH OR CHURCH BASEMENT!!
For the evening service your child may wear a Christmas outfit, other Church clothes, or school uniform. Please no jeans. After the service your child will be waiting for you in the Welcome Center.
We have been working hard on this service. We each have our individual part and our songs ready. We are excited to share the message of Jesus birth.

You are invited to join us for a 1st Grade Milestone Class!
Zion Lutheran Church believes God calls parents to be the primary spiritual leaders for their children. Milestone Classes focus on creating and celebrating healthy spiritual habits and equip parents and families to teach their children.
The 1st grade class will focus on family devotions and learning to use the bible together. Classes will meet on Saturday, January 6th at 4:15pm OR Sunday, January 7th at 9:30am in the School Library. Pick the class time that works best for you and your family!
To sign up, contact Bethany Andrews, Children's Ministry Director at bandrews@zionharvester.org or 636-441-7425 ext 254 by December 31st!

I really enjoy preparing for Christmas with the kids, this second week of Advent. I look forward to next week and the JOY it will bring!
Thank you for your prayers for Hannah and her surgery. She is home and recovering. The surgeon had to tighten her shoulder joint (not sure what that means) he says it was successful. Now six weeks in a big brace and therapy!
