March 4, 2016

In the stars that grace the darkness,
In the blazing sun of dawn,
In the light of peace and wisdom,
We can hear your quiet song.
Love that fills the night with wonder,
Love that warms the weary soul,
Love that burst all chains asunder,
Set us free and make us whole.

Friday is a half day dismissal is at 11:30 from the church.

Friday March 11 - GRANDPARENT'S SPECIAL GUEST DAY- Please let you grandparent or special guest know the schedule that was in the invitation.

The students should come to our classroom as usual and grandparents and special guest begin in the church basement. The grandparents and special friend will then come to the classrooms.  We encourage the families to stay together so First -Third grades will have activities set up in the rooms that all may enjoy. If your have more than one child they may all go together.

The students will be dismissed from the church, so if the child's grandparent is not taking him/her home please come into the church to pick up your child.  I would arrive at 11:15. (in case we get done early)

PLEASE DO NOT SEND BACKPACKS to school on Friday.  Friday Folders will come home on Thursday. I look forward to spending sometime with our Grandparents and special guests.

BOOK FAIR:  Next week we will be going to the Book Fair Wednesday morning.  If your child would like to purchase a book please send money in an envelope with your child's name on the front.  I will collect the envelopes and help children make purchases.  See flyer in the Friday Folder.

The BOOK FAIR WILL BE OPEN ON GRANDPARENT'S and SPECIAL GUEST DAY.  Grandparents and guests may take the child to the  during the classroom center time on Grandparent's Day.

Grandparents' -Special Friends Day Volunteers
Miss Bevirt will be having a photobooth in her classroom on Grandparents' Day on March 11.  She needs three volunteers to help out with the photobooth from 8:45-10:15. Your job might include helping the grandparents take "selfies" using a computer, running to the copier to grab the pictures, or helping people find the props and make frames.  Let me know if you can help out on this day, thanks!

The First-Third Grade Musical is APRIL 21 .  Please plan on attend that evening.  If your child is not able to attend please let Mrs. Crumrine know.

Achievement Test will take place March 14-18.  Please make every effort to have your child in school that week!
