I could not be prouder of our class and the constant witness they are for Jesus.
I want to share with you a few ways the class has shared Gospel this Advent:
We collect $457 dollars and used it to by gifts for 5 Napalese Refugee families. Here are some pictures of the Christmas Party. The email included a big thank you to our class and families. The kids were very excited and the families were grateful.
A student told a customer at Little Caesars "Jesus loves you". We are learning to be a bold witness to the world!

SPECIAL GUEST: To celebrate Epiphany we will have a special guest the week will get back. The published author Joanne Bader will come to our room, tell us about being an author, read a few of her books, and then autograph a book for us. This will kick off our unit of writing that when end with us publishing a hard bound book. More info to come...
FIELD TRIP TO FLORISSANT CIVIC CENTER TO SEE LILY'S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE. We will be going on January 16, look for a permission slip the week we get back. I randomly chose 2 parents to be chaperones, Mrs. Lorenz and Mrs. Krum. If you can't chaperone let me know and I will pick someone else. Thanks
LOVE AND LOGIC CLASS- Amy Bernhardt will be teaching a Love and Logic Parenting class on Sunday mornings at 9:30 the class will run 8 weeks beginning on January 11, 2015. The class will meet in the Discipleship room in the lower level of church.
What Is Love and Logic All About?
The Love and Logic Institute is dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. We provide practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with their children. All of our work is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called Love and Logic.
What Is Love and Logic?
Children learn the best lessons when they're given a task and allowed to make their own choices (and fail) when the cost of failure is still small. Children's failures must be coupled with love and empathy from their parents and teachers.
This practical and straightforward philosophy is backed with 30 years of experience. Parents can apply it immediately to a wide range of situations instead of struggling with difficult counseling procedures.

| We practiced our spelling by writing the words in the shape of Christmas trees. |

| In Reading groups we found the different elements of the story. |

| We searched for elves hidden in room. |

| We put a poem about presents together. |

| Then we felt wrapped gifts to guess what was inside. |

I hope you enjoy the hand crafted nativity scenes. We had a fun time making them and telling the Christmas story using the props.

| We made books by folding paper and then told the Christmas story. |

| Some went in and some didn't. |

| We kept score and tried to beat our score. |

| We rolled the dice to dress santa. |
 |
