ADVENT SERVICE:

We lead the Advent Worship service WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 19 at 10 am and 7 pm.

Each child has an individual speaking part.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that your child learns their speaking part. I have put the speaking parts in your child's Friday folder and learning the part loud and slow is the memory work for the week of December 1.
At the 10 am service your child should just wear the school uniform and for the 7 pm service your child may wear church clothes or school uniform.

Take a look at the art on ARTSONIA.
Your child's artwork makes great gifts and cards.
Look for this coupon with your child's Christmas art in the Friday Folder.
Use this code to get 25% off.
Remember I get a percentage back to use for art supplies!

Christmas Gift IDEAS:  If you are looking for a great stocking stuffer, many students would love new crayons and glue sticks!

CHRISTMAS SERVICE PROJECT
The tradition at Zion is for each class to adopt a service project at Christmas.  We do a service project instead of exchanging gifts as a class.

This year our class will be supporting PASTOR SAM THOMSON as he pastors a group of Nepalese Refuges in the St. Louis area.  We will be buying Christmas gift for the 24 refuges and Pastor Sam Thomson will be delivering the gifs.  These refuges are very poor and these maybe the only gifts they have this Christmas.  What a great opportunity to SHOW and SHARE Jesus!

Our class will be collecting MONEY to purchase the gifts.  The money may be brought to school beginning Monday,  November 24- Wednesday, December 3.  I will have a gift basket to put the money in.

On Thursday, December 4 our class will go shopping at Walmart to purchase the gift.  We will then wrap the gifts and give them to Pastor Sam.

I will need parents to help drive and chaperone the field trip.  The field trip forms are in the FRIDAY FOLDERS.  Please mark if you are able to drive and chaperone the trip.

Thank you in advance for your donations and help.
Thank you for teaching your child to be generous.

I am thankful for you!  God has blessed me with a great class and group of parents.  I thank God for you. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving, may you enjoy time with family and friends, and may you keep Christ at the center of your celebrations.

IN HIM,
Amy Bernhardt
