This week we learned about Martin Luther. We learned that the Holy Spirit made him bold to tell the truth about God. He told others what the Bible tells us about God. Martin Luther wrote 95 true statement, thesis, about God. He nailed them to the church door on October 31, 1517. He wanted everyone to read and know the truth about God. In First Grade we pray that God makes us bold to tell others the truth about God. I had the class write down true statements about God.

Adapted Math: I am sending home a parent information sheet and log in for Adapted Math. This is a math program on the internet. I hope to use it 2nd Semester, but some children may enjoy doing the program at home.

This week in chapel Mr. Hansen talked to us about Acts 20:35, it is better to give than to received. Mr. Hansen told us about a time he went Trick or Treating and was given the whole bowl of candy. His mom made him share the candy at Sunday School. He then told us there is no TRICK in God giving us forgiveness and eternal life. There is no trick we can do to earn these gifts. God freely gives believers forgiveness and eternal life because of Jesus. It is then our TREAT to share this good news with others.
