Core Knowledge: Fairy Tales
Thursday, March 26
will be our the end of our Fairy Tale unit Celebration.
We will be having a Fairy Tale Ball.
The students may dress in a Fairy Tale attire, nothing too extravagant as we do have to manage school and the
Ball is only 12:30-1:30.
We will be making crowns, learning a simple dance, playing bingo, and receiving a magical fantasy element to remind us of the fairy tale unit. Girls may have an easier time with outfits, but I told the boys to use their imagination a green shirt and a ball is the frog prince, some paper straw and "gold bars" and your Rumplestiltskin.... you get my drift, of course you could be a prince or the king!
I still need several kids to bring their egg cartons with eggs!
PLEASE SEND IN AN EGG CARTON
WITH 12 PLASTIC EGGS
to school by March 26.
We will be doing a religion project on March 31.
We have done all of the subtraction lessons. Next week will be the review lessons and then the students will be tested on subtraction within 10 as well as addition to 10 facts. If your child doesn't meet the goal on the practice sheets, I ask that as practice he/she finishes the page, you sign the page, and the page is sent back in the next day.
Thank you for helping your child practice these facts!
You are all invited to the Easter Egg Hunt!
MARK THE DATE: TUESDAY, MAY 19, 6 PM

The first graders are in the chorus.
