We will be doing a religion project on March 31.

There is some prep that needs to be done and it is helpful if I can do them a few at a time and not all the night before. Thanks for sending the cartons and eggs in!

Report cards for 3rd quarter go home this Friday.

I hope this paper helps you know more about your child's learning this quarter. If you have any questions, concerns I would love to meet. Please contact me and we can set up a time.

As we move into the end of year, I will be raising expectations for the class as we prepare for second grade. Students will be completing more of their work independently, and I will gradually begin removing some of the supports that were in place earlier in the year.

I am also seeing strong progress with letter formation, including fewer reversals. In Fourth quarter reversals of letters and numbers will now be marked incorrect on assessments. This change reflects the level of accuracy students are expected to demonstrate in the fourth quarter and in second grade.

Math Facts: One way to practice is to just have your child finish the problems on the fact sheets each day. Remember you can always go to the Math on Fire Website to get extra math practice pages. Just scroll down and download the student workbook: Sums to 10 and Subtraction from 10. You can use the video on the right also.
