Lent begins next week on February 14 with Ash Wednesday. Lent is my favorite time of the church year. I like the Lent Church Services on Wednesdays after school.
This year Zion will have a 3:30 and 7:00 service.
We will be making Lent Devotion Centers for your family. Look for them to come home with special Lent devotions on Monday!
We continue to work on fact fluency. 2nd quarter's focus was addition to 10, 3rd quarter's focus was subtraction within 5, and 4th quarter focus will be subtraction to 10 as well as addition to 20. We continue to assess over previous facts. Some students haven't met proficiency in addition to 10 or subtraction within 5. Although we do practice fact fluency everyday some students need extra practice at home. I have included a note and extra practice helps in the Friday Folder with students who could use extra practice. Thank you for your help.
4th quarter begins March 10 and fluency test will be addition to 10 and subtraction with 10.
All Classes (K-8) come visit the Book Fair on
Wednesday, March 12th.
The book fair will also be open during Grandparents' Special Friends' Day Friday March 14.
The Book Fair can’t happen without Parent Volunteers!
Please use the link below to volunteer at the Book Fair.
Look for more information on Sycamore about the Book Fair.
Please complete this form and return to school Monday.
I will be attending an out of town conference next week Wednesday afternoon thru Saturday. I am leaving the class in the very capable hands of the wonderful substitute teacher, Mrs. Talley. If you need to make any changes in pick up or need to get any information to the sub please email the office.Thank you.
Enjoy your weekend and may worship be a priority for your family.
In Him,
Amy
