Do you know a college student that would love to receive a care package from Zion’s 1st grade classes?  As part of our Fall service project, Zion’s 1st grade is assembling care packages on October 15th and shipping them out to college students, but in order to do this fun project we need names!

Please click here (https://forms.gle/6nTYbWd2Fg6XHJNQ8) to fill out a form to give us the information we need to send some college students lots of delicious treats!  If you have any questions, please email

Sara Kuhlmann, skuhlmann@zionharvester.org or

Amy Bernhardt, abernhardt@zionharvester.org

We also need adult size shoe boxes to use for the care packages.  If you have some you are willing to share please send them to school and I will store them!

Take a look at the Grammar and Spelling Assessments in the Friday Folders.  These were practice tests for the first graders this week.  The assessments are how I get grades for Grammar, Word Work, and Math.  I graded the assessments so you can see how the assessments will be graded each week.
Zion Lutheran School is very excited to announce we are hosting a special early childhood concert featuring Jim Gill. Each of Jim’s concerts is an ACTIVE sing-along and clap-along event. He bangs out energetic rhythms on his banjo while everyone claps, jumps, spins, and dances along. The concert is filled with songs and stories from Jim’s award-winning recordings and books for young children.

You are your child’s PFD!!
Pastor Rouland in Confirmation always says at the first class, you are your child’s PFD, Personal Faith Developer.  As parents we are given the task of developing our child’s faith.  Do not fear you are not alone in this task.  The Holy Spirit will help you along with Zion Church and School.  You may wonder what a PFD does;
Pastor Rouland gives three responsibilities:
set an example, be authentic, and be faithful.

May God bless you in your job of PFD!
