May 12, 2023

I can't believe we have only 10 days of school left.
These last weeks will be filled with continued learning and
I encourage you and your child to finish strong!
This class has been such a blessing.
I look forward to coming to work with them everyday.
What a joy and privilege it has been to be their teacher!

A LOOK AHEAD:

Memory: WE ARE DONE

Religion: The early church- keep looking for devotions on Mondays and Thursday

Word Work: review past concepts and high frequency words

Phonics: vowel teams and silent letters

Grammar: adding details to sentences

Math: measurement

Science: weather

Writing: Poetry

Art: end of the year project

On Friday, May 19 we will celebrate Julia's Birthday with a Magical Birthday Party.  Julia is one of the school's lunch helpers.  Classes will be giving her birthday wishes during lunch.  Our class will be making cards for Julia! If you want to send it a card or something little you may, she loves Thomas the Train, OREOs. M&Ms, and the color purple.
The first - third graders will attend her Magical Birthday Party at 1:00 in the gym.  There will be a magician!!
Thank you for your continued prayers for our friend Cooper.  He is doing well.  We FaceTimed him each day!  He will return on Monday!

Check out the Chilhuly exhibit at Missouri Botanical Garden  this summer!
He tends His flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in His arms
and carries them close to His heart;
He gently leads those that have young.
Isaiah 40: 11

Being a mom can be a rewarding yet challenging job!
Please know that God is with you and
He carries you close to His heart.
May you have a wonderful day!

Enjoy the special gift your child has for you. I still have my daughter Maddie's on my dresser and she is now 22!
