April 28, 2023

I hope your child has been sharing the family devotions with you.  This is a good way to help children get comfortable with sharing their faith.  Each week a devotion will come home on Monday and Thursday.  The devotions will use a Bible story from the new Bible they received this week.

I hope this is a good together time for your family.  I hope it shows you different ways you could do a family devotion.  I pray this builds confidence in your child to lead a devotion and share his/her faith with family members. My prayer is your family is blessed and grows in faith with the devotions.

NO SCHOOL MONDAY MAY 1 - Teacher Inservice Day

The First- Third Grade musical Thursday, May 4th

-Our 1st-3rd grade musical will be Thursday, May 4th at 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Zion Sanctuary.

-A special t-shirt will be worn with uniform bottoms for both performances as the costume.

I will keep the t-shirts after the 1:45 performance so just have your child come to the 6 p.m. performance wearing any light colored shirt and a uniform skirt or shorts and they will wear the special t-shirt over the other shirt.

-The 1:45 p.m. performance is a dress rehearsal for Zion students but families are welcome to attend.

-For the 6 p.m. performance, please have your child arrive at 5:45 p.m. in the church basement.

Teachers will not be in the church basement until this time, so please stay with your child until a teacher arrives.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
Check out were we will be for the musical!

Library Books Due by Thursday May 4!
We are done with Library for this year.  A BIG thank you to all the parents who helped with our library time!
Please return all library books by May 4!
Thank you!

As it gets closer to summer I want to remind you not to take a vacation from God.  This class loves to lead devotions. They also have a very mature prayer life.  They are excited to hear and read the Bible. They love to share the GOOD NEWS!  I ask that you continue to nourish their faith.

Make a commitment to attend church weekly.

Show your children that nothing is more important than God,
-not vacations (visit another church where you are vacationing),
-not sports (take advantage of the various services times and days),
-not sleeping in or boating or golf (show that God is important to you and make a point to worship even when it isn’t easy).

Your child will be blessed by your faithfulness to worship and will follow your example.

In Him,
Amy

WOW, our class has given over $500 this year in chapel offering.

Thank you for your generosity to our sister school, TRINITY, JEFFERSON CITY.  Our offerings for the rest of the year will go to them to help them after a school fire.
