October 27, 2021

We learned about Martin Luther and the Reformation.

We are thankful that Martin Luther was bold to tell the truths about God.
He even used art to teach about God.

May we be BOLD like Martin Luther and tell others about God's everlasting, enduring, great love for us!

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow, Thursday, October 28.

Our First through Sixth Grade Students are preparing to participate in the

2021 STACK UP

sponsored by the World Sport Stacking Association.

Our First through Sixth grade students will be working on their Sport Stacking skills during their PE classes for the next few weeks. Sport Stacking (also known as Speed Stacking or Cup Stacking) is a sport in which specially designed cups are stacked in specific patterns as quickly as possible. It has been called a “track meet for your hands” and not only improves eye-hand coordination, but also academic learning.  When students sport stack they are crossing the midline of their bodies and developing new connections in their brains. Not only that---SPORT STACKING is FUN and competitive!

Our Sport Stacking unit will culminate the week of November 15, 2021 as we add Zion’s  number of Sport Stackers to that of people stacking all over the world. This year we will attempt to break the 2019 World Record of 624,390 students participating in the event.

If you are interested in purchasing equipment for your child please use Zion’s  direct link: speedstacks.com/go-direct/37067-10346742.  Mrs. Steinbacher recommends purchasing a set of cups and the timing mat with the timer as seeing your time improve with practice is very motivational. Our sale runs from Nov. 1  through Dec. 12, 2021. Your purchase also helps raise funds for additional PE equipment for Zion.

Please contact Mrs. Steinbacher at msteinbacher@zionharvester.org with any questions.
