We also learned about a young man named, Josh. He has used his sickness as a way to share the Gospel with RED DIAMONDS. I hope your child to the opportunity to share the Gospel with you. I pray my students use the red diamonds as a way to start a conversation with others and the witness to our awesome God.

Excitement is building for our “Kids Heart Challenge” events, formerly “Jump Rope foe Heart”. Zion has participated in this fundraiser for the American Heart Association for over 20 years. Last year our enthusiastic students and their generous families and friends raised over $19,342 to help fight heart disease in Missouri. That was the highest amount Zion has raised and was 6th in Missouri.

I am see way too many CAR for Math. Many mistakes are not following directions or completing all the questions.Yes, we want First graders to become more responsible but doing math homework alone is not age appropriate right now. Some students are not ready to read this level of homework. If you have your child do the homework alone PLEASE check over the work. If you want to add responsibility you could tell them "I see 2 that are not correct please find them and correct the paper"
I do expect CAR to be corrected and returned. I have started to have the child stay in recess if a CAR is not turned in on Monday. PLEASE help me, by helping your child with the MATH HOMEWORK.
