September 8, 2017

This week we learned about God protecting Noah and how God's rainbow reminds us of His promise to care and love us.  God used the flood to wash the earth; the world was given a new life.  God uses His Word and the waters of Baptism to wash our sins away and gives us the gift of eternal life.  I am thankful for the for rain and relief from the heat. Remember God keeps His promises to us!

In reading next week we are talking about good reading habits.  It is always good to drop the old bad habits and start new good habits.

I encourage you to work on good worship habits.  Let your child know and see that God and worship is a priority in your life.  I hope to see you in church and Bible study this weekend!
My cousin, Michael Trinklein, wrote and produced this documentary for the 500 Anniversary of the REFORMATION.
It will air on PBS on September 12.
It is very good and interesting, watch it to learn about Luther and the Reformation of the Church.

In Chapel Pastor Rouland used artwork and bible verses to tell about our theme song.

A village in Africa acted out scenes from the Bible and had pictures taken of each scene.  Then an artist paint a picture for each photograph.  Here is the artwork for The Beatitudes.

Pastor read for us Matthew 7:24-29 the part of the beatitudes our theme song verse 1 is based on.
