April 17, 2014

Surely He took up our pain

and bore our suffering,

yet we considered Him punished by God,

stricken by Him, and afflicted.

But He was pierced for our transgressions,

He was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was on Him,

and by His wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray,

each of us has turned to our own way;

and the LORD has laid on Him

the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:4-6

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.
Come and see the place where He lay.  Then go quickly and tell His disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.
There you will see Him.’ Now I have told you.”
                                                Matthew 28:5-7

May the Risen Lord fill you with JOY and PEACE.
Your salvation has been won.  You have new life!

Have a wonderful EASTER and Easter Break.

Please make celebrating in church part of your family's Easter plans.

In our RISEN SAVIOR,
Amy Bernhardt
We learned a lot about Holy Week and
we made special eggs to help us tell the story to others.
We each came up with our own names for the eggs.
We read Bible verses to remember different parts of the story.

We put special items into each egg.

We can't wait to share this GREAT story with you!

In Chapel on Maundy Thursday, Pastor Rouland told us that Maundy means commandment.
He told us Jesus gave us the
commandment to love each other.
He showed us three ways to love,
GIVE, SHARE, COMFORT.
I know that Drew's family
has been having a tough time.
I am thinking of a way we can
show them God's love.
Look for an email next week.
We have been working on our plays.
Look for the videos next week.

We made scenery.

In art we learned about different lines.

We drew different lines on an umbrella.
