February 1, 2013 Lutheran Schools Week

We had a GREAT week celebrating Zion Lutheran School.
Praise God for the blessing of ZION SCHOOL!!

Enjoy our week in pictures!

Moday started off the week comfy and cozy  in our PJs.

We walked into school on Tuesday with our cRaZy SocKs!
We are CraZy about ZioN!!
On Tuesday morning we began the day by being the "big" kids and we read to a preschool class.

In the afternoon we went to the Lost and Found concert!
It was AWESOME to celebrate with over 1,200 students and teachers from the local
St. Charles County Lutheran Schools.

For many of the first graders this was their first concert.  At first they were amazed by the concert and the loudness!

We soon got into the music and began to move and sing.
Then we really started to enjoy ourselves!!
"Oh those lions they can eat my body but they can't (SLINKY) swallow my soul!!!"

Check out this short video of the concert!

Wednesday we let Jesus' light SHINE!
The first grade's futures are so BRIGHT I have to wear shades!

We made our own snow and drew snow pictures.
It may be the only 'snow day' we get this year!

We Love Zion SNOW much because... (as told by first graders)
"we get to learn about Jesus, we go to gym, music, and library, we have recess and lunch, every teacher is nice,
math and reading are fun, we get to do centers, we do science experiments and learn about planets, we have
fun dress up days, we get to pray to God, we have a loving God!"

We show our BOBCAT spirit by wearing RED and making a giant Z!
We give Zion 2 thumbs up!
Zion Teachers WIN all the  volleyball games against the 8th graders.
Go TEACHERS!

We are cheering and having a great time!!

Friday brought many characters into our room,
many of us in a book themed costume!
Little Bo Peep, Anderson and Gabriel (from the yearbook) and Belle
A ninja, Wilber, he is some pig, red fish and Cookie the Cat
Rapanzel from Tangled, Almanzo, straight from Walnut Grove, and 2 Fancy Nancys

Calvin and Hobbes, Kirsten the American Girl, a ninja, and Tallulah
The 7th graders came to read to us!!
