This week we learned about Martin Luther.  We learned that the Holy Spirit made him bold to tell the truth about God.  He told others what the Bible tells us about God.  Martin Luther wrote 95 true statement, thesis, about God.  He nailed them to the church door on October 31, 1517.  He wanted everyone to read and know the truth about God.  In First Grade we pray that God makes us bold to tell others the truth about God.  I had the class write down true statements about God.
  Here they are:

Have a wonderful weekend, remember to change your clock so you are not too early for church.  This weekend we celebrate All Saint's Day.  We worship our God who makes us His saints through the blood of Jesus.

ENJOY THE PARTY PICTURES!!  Here is what we did at our AWESOME Fall Party.

We began by decorating a goodie bag.

We had a relay race.

We quickly carried popcorn on spoons.

It got a bit messy.

We went fishing...

...for pumpkins and owls.

We played a game with dice.

We had to roll numbers to build a pumpkin.

We went bowling with a pumpkin and TP rolls. 

We went on a scavenger hunt.
The first clue was, "You go to this place at least once a day.
So much to do here...eat, drink, and play."

Off to the gym we went to find our first prize.
The second clue read, "So many people help us here, take your pick.
They all help make our day better, even if we are sick."

We scurried to the office and Mrs. Adams had a treat for us.

After getting a pencil we listened to the next clue:
"From top to bottom and everywhere you look.
There's so much to learn from book after book."

At the library we found fun sticker sheets and our fourth clue.
"To get to this place, we don't need a sign.
We go to worship Jesus, like a star we will shine!"

Mrs. Wirkus gave us a glow stick to help us shine.

The clue told us,
"This is a place that we all love to go.
But sometimes we can't go there because of things like rain or snow!"

We skipped to the playground!!

The next clue told us,
"Right now it's not somewhere many of us go.
But by 5th grade that's where we'll be.
First we just have to grow!"

The Jr. High building is where we found Mrs. Murray and some eighth graders.
We final read our last clue,
"Maybe you've seen this while running a lap.
Today, look for something bright and warm, no need for a map!"


WE RAN TO THE MILEAGE TRACK AND FOUND A FIRE PIT AND SMORES!

It was time for us to head back to class and go home.  We had a great Fall Party.
