This week we talked about leaders.  God gives us leaders to guide us.  God called David, a little shepherd boy, to be the leader of His chosen nation.  Even though David was little God gave him gifts and skills to help others as a faithful leader.  We are young, and small, and may not feel important, but God has given us different gifts and we can use those gifts to help others and guide them to Jesus. Mrs. Smith had the class share with our each other their various gifts.  We heard gifts of: helping me figure things out, giving hugs, good at laughing,  good at sports, and a good friend.  This class is SHINING for Jesus.  Maybe we have future leader in our mist!

Wednesday, Nov. 14-  THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE:  We ask that the students bring in canned or boxed goods to provide Thanksgiving dinners to 30 seminarians.  Our offerings will go to buy the turkeys.  What a great way to help support those who spread the Good News.

Thursday, Nov 15 - CUP STACKING WORLD RECORD:  We will be participating in breaking the world record of people stacking cups on one day.  We will be stacking cups at 1:30!  Please make sure your child has their gym shoes.  If you can help Mrs. Steinbacher please email her, msteinbacher@zionharvester.org
-SCHOOL ASSEMBLY:  We will have an all school assembly to kick off the winter sports and the winner of the auction fundraiser will cut Mr. Marolf's hair!

Next week will be the last week of class before Thanksgiving.  After Thanksgiving Mrs. Smith will be finishing up student teaching in our classroom.  I would like to have a little thank you party the last week of November.  I would like to give her a thank you gift certificate.  If you would like to contribute to the gift please send the money to school in an envelope mark "Mrs. Bernhardt" I will collect the envelopes next week and will purchase the gift certificate.

Thank you for making worship a priority in your family.  Your children are growing in God's love and I love to see them SHINE and share God's love everyday.  Thank you for providing your child the opportunity to be filled with God each day and worship on the weekends!
