 Thursday : FIELD TRIP TO St. Louis Art Museum.  We have so many parents driving.  It looks like each parent will have their own child and a few will have an extra child.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FIELD TRIP

Don't Forget...

DRIVERS please arrive at 9:05 so we can leave by 9:15.

I will have a hand out with parking instructions on Thursday.

If you are not driving your child will need a carseat.  Please send in your child's LABELED carseat on Wednesday.

Your child should wear his/her field trip shirt, red Zion shirt that was given on the first day of school and uniform bottoms.

Each child needs a sack lunch with a drink as we will be eating in our classroom when we return.

Due to allergies we ask for no peanut butter or peanuts in your child's lunch.

 

250th USA Anniversary Party April 29

To celebrate the end of our Our New Nation unit, we will be hosting a small 250th celebration—with Ben Franklin in attendance!

Your child may wear a Fourth of July-themed short-sleeve shirt (no tank tops or spaghetti straps), or a red, white, or blue uniform shirt.

FIRST - THIRD GRADE MUSICAL

Make plans to attend 

TUESDAY, MAY 19 at 6 pm.

The first graders have been working hard 

on the songs for the musical! We are the chorus.

The students will be given shirts to wear that night.

This week was the annual Missouri District SHINE Servant Event.

For our class’s servant project, we planned and hosted an Easter party for the kindergarten and first grade students at Bethlehem Lutheran School. We had a wonderful time making new friends and sharing the joy of Jesus’ resurrection.

I hope you are enjoying the Easter season with your child. Easter is more than just one Sunday—we celebrate our risen Savior for 40 days!

We encourage you to include family devotions (led by your child), weekend worship, and meaningful religious displays in your home during this season. A new devotion will be sent home each week—be on the lookout for the yellow sheet!

I have invited each child to be like an Easter lily and shout the Good News. When your child leads a devotion please take a picture and email me so I can add them to the special bulletin board.

May worship be a priority for your family this weekend! I am leading all the children's messages at Zion and I hope to see some familiar faces!

EASTER PARTY WITH BETHLEHEM Kindergarteners and First Graders

We celebrated Jesus' Resurrection with new friends.  We played outside, had a glow in the dark egg hunt, made a craft, heard the Easter story, made a giant poster, did shape puzzles, and played BINGO! A great time was had by all!
