THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE:
In the month of November we support the Seminarian Food Bank. Seminarians are men studying to be pastors. We provide 20 Thanksgiving meals to Seminarian Families unable to go home for Thanksgiving.
The Student Council has assigned a food item to each grade.
We attended the Veteran's Day service and had an opportunity to thank veterans and give them a note. A craft came home today that your child my share with a Veteran they may know.
YAY Teagan!
We learned about Cubism and started working on a cubist inspired turkey.
Thank you Mr. Maddick for leading church and telling us how everything in the Bible and church points to Jesus.

1st/2nd Grade Advent Service
We have started working on our Advent Service. We are learning our special Bible verse part and songs.
-Our Advent services will be Wednesday, December 14th in the Zion Sanctuary.
-The students will be leading the Advent chapel during school at 10 am and they will need to wear their normal standardized dress.
-Students will also be leading the church service at the 7 pm service that evening. Please have your child arrive at 6:45 p.m. in the church basement. Teachers will not be in the church basement until this time, so please stay with your child until a teacher arrives. Students will need to be wearing standardized dress or church clothes. Please keep your child's coat and belongings with you because after the service you will be meeting your child in the narthex/welcome center area near the sanctuary.
-Your child will need to be in attendance at both services; parents and family are welcome to come to either service.
We do go outside unless the temperature or the real feel is below 10 degrees. Please make sure your child has appropriate winter wear. If there is every snow on the ground students may bring a separate pair of snow boots to change into so they may go in the snow. Only children with a different pair of boots for the snow will be able to go in the snow. Please send the boots in a plastic bag so that after recess the boots can go into the bag and the hall can stay dry.
I pray for your child daily and that God would be working in his/her life. I pray that the seeds of faith are nurtured and grow. I pray that worship is a priority for your family this weekend.
In HIM,
Amy
