As we look ahead to Lutheran Schools Week I want to share with you why I teach at and why you should be happy your child attends a Lutheran School.
Your child is literally and figuratively surround by God's Word everyday!

Your child is being nurtured spiritually everyday.

We are Family. We are claim and redeem by Christ. We are brothers and sisters in Him. We learn to work together in His Kingdom. We learn to love one another and forgive one another.
JESUS is what makes us special.
| We watch chapel each week. We get to learn about Jesus and worship as a 'virtual' community. |
We end each day with a closing devotion song and prayer.
Your child is being nurtured spiritually everyday.
| My students learn about Jesus and His love in religion each day. |
My students are learning to apply God's Word to our lives with Bible Journaling.
My students are given opportunities to serve through our classroom.
With our offerings we support Friends of Kids with Cancer, we have have collected toys for kids with cancer, we have provided food to seminaries at Thanksgiving.
My students look for other ways to serve each day.
My students are nurtured in sharing their faith and given opportunities to practice witnessing

Yes, we are strong in academics. Our schools scores consistently above the 75% on standardized testing and when our students go to Lutheran High (one of the most academic high schools in the St. Louis county with the highest average ACT scores in the county) the teachers at LHS comment on how well prepared Zion students are for upper level classes.
Yes, Zion has awesome music programs and sport programs as well.
And Yes, Zion is a school family. Class list for Valentines can be found on blog for January 15.
I am still in need of 10 empty larger size Clorax wipe containers or 2 liter bottles. Please send them in by February 3.
