November 13, 2020

This week we learned about Hannah and how she prayed for a baby.  God heard her prayer and Samuel was born.  Samuel worked for the church and listened to God.  God had very important work for Samuel.

God used Samuel to find the new King.  God looked in the heart and choose a shepherd boy, David to be the new King.

Our class made prayer journals in the form of a PATH Prayer.  I hope you encourage your child to use the journal to help organize his/her prayer time.

Books are a great Christmas Gift.

Please go online to order books.  There are flyers in the Friday Folder and many more books online!
If these are a gift, just send me an email and I will let you know when the books arrive.  Please order by Friday November 20.

You can help set a Guinness World Record

The World Sport Stacking Association is attempting to set a new Guinness World Record this year for “The most PICTURES of people Sport Stacking”.  Due to Covid restrictions and the impossible task of disinfecting our stacking cups after each use our First through Sixth graders will not be working on our stacking skills at Zion.  However, if you have Sport Stacking cups at home I encourage you to pull them out and submit some photos of you stacking. The event takes place between: November 18th - December 2nd.

Register TODAY! Visit https://stackup.speedstacks.com/register/ and sign up for this year’s event!

Please email msteinbacher@zionharvester.org if you’d like to borrow a set of cups in order to participate.

If you’d like to purchase official sport stacking equipment go to Speedstacks.com. They often have some great deals around Thanksgiving.

TJ's Pizza Pickup - Thursday 11/19/2020 3PM - 5PM
Product can be picked up from the parking lot between the Middle School Building and the Main School Building (where the basketball hoops are).  All of the product will be in TJs Boxes and will include your original order sheet.  Please wear a mask when you come for pickup.  To streamline pickup this year, we are asking each family to double check their product against their order sheet when they get home.  In the event you have any missing product, please email samuelswofford@gmail.com and we will schedule separate delivery from TJs to complete your orders.  If you are unable to pick up on Thursday, please reach out via email to arrange pick up.

I hope you and your child are able to use the
