September 11, 2020

This week we learned about God protecting Noah and how God's rainbow reminds us of His promise to care and love us.  God used the flood to wash the earth; the world was given a new life.  God uses His Word and the waters of Baptism to wash our sins away and gives us the gift of eternal life.  I am thankful that God is faithful.   His love endures forever!

Remember God keeps His promises to us!

If your child is not able to count to 100 please work on that with them.
I will be testing in 2 weeks.

If your child is absent, I will put the missing work that can be made up at home in this Absent Work folder.  If homework is requested I will put the folder in the foyer to be picked up between 3-3:45 after school.

Please return the work and any school items in the folder when the child returns to school.

The lower grades do not send work home ahead of a scheduled time of a child missing.  I am happy to send missing work that can be made up at home with the child upon returning to school.
We are working on good learning habits.  I am proud of the students and learning the routines of school,  working in centers, and respecting others learning environment.  This class is doing a great job learning to be a learner.

You are your child’s PFD!!
Pastor Rouland in Confirmation always says at the first class, you are your child’s PFD, Personal Faith Developer.  As parents we are given the task of developing our child’s faith.  Do not fear you are not alone in this task.  The Holy Spirit will help you along with Zion Church and School.  You may wonder what a PFD does;
Pastor Rouland gives three responsibilities:
set an example, be authentic, and be faithful.

May God bless you in your job of PFD!

Zion has many worship opportunities this week:
In Person-   Saturday 5:00 masks required
                    Sunday 8:00, 9:30, 11:00 mask encouraged
Online-        Sunday 9:30 at zionharvester.org

I want to be a resource for you and aid you in your job of PFD!  I hope you have been able to do some of the family devotions from the book at Open House.  I am sending home a worship journal that you may want to use to help focus your child's worship time.  It is in the Friday Folder.

In HIS Love,
Amy
