Our summer birthday celebration will be THURSDAY
MAY 23! I will provide a birthday treat to celebrate all the summer birthdays!!
On Friday, May 17th, students in grades 1-8 will participate in a “Faith Family Field Day”. We will eat a picnic lunch, play games, and have one last fun time with our Faith Families!
Zion will be providing cheese pizza from Domino's, goldfish and water for the picnic lunch. If your child does not want that lunch or is unable to eat that lunch due to allergies, please have your child bring a cold lunch on Friday, May 17th.
Your child will also be spending the afternoon out in the sun, so please apply sunscreen in the morning before your child comes to school.
This will also be a SPECIAL SPIRIT DAY your child may wear a Zion/LHS t-shirt and non uniform bottoms!
To help prevent the summer academic slide... I will be having a summer reading camp. This camp will focus on maintaining on grade level reading and writing. Each session will include reading, writing, and an activity. It will be held on Tuesdays in the mornings. I like to keep the sessions small.
I plan on having two sessions, 9-10:15 and 10:30-11:45. The sessions will be on June 18, July 16, July 23, and July 30. (note I am not having the session on July 2)
You may sign up for some or all of the weeks. The cost will be $15.00 a week. If you are interested and would like to sign up please go to the google doc form and put your name on the time and date you would like to attend.
SUMMER READING CAMP
He tends His flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in His arms
and carries them close to His heart;
He gently leads those that have young.
Isaiah 40: 11
Being a mom can be a rewarding yet challenging job.
Please know that God is with you and
He carries you close to His heart.
May you have a wonderful day!
May you have a wonderful day!
