TONIGHT TONIGHT TONIGHT TONIGHT
Lutheran High School's Student Council invites you to visit with Santa. From prior experience, this is a great Santa and there are few if no lines. Pictures are taken and posted to a website and you can take your own photos as well.
Lutheran High School invites children and their parents to
"St. Nick Nite" on Friday, Dec. 2, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Lutheran High School, 5100 Mexico Road.
In addition to enjoying and girls' Cougar basketball game at 6:30, you'll have the opportunity to have your picture taken with "Jolly Old St. Nick!" We are partnering with Fire Truck of Toys and collecting New, Unwrapped Toys to donate to girls and boys in our own community!
We will celebrate St. Nicholas in the classroom on Tuesday, December 6. This is a German tradition that I grew up with and I like to share with my students. Traditionally on the night of December 5 you put your shoes outside and St. Nicholas comes and fills your shoes with candy, fruit, and coins. I want to give you a heads up in case your child puts his/her shoes outside on Tuesday night.
ADVENT SERVICE: We will lead worship WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 14 at 10 and 7. We will begin practicing in the church for our service on Monday. PLEASE continue to practice your child's individual part focusing in on loud and slow! For the morning service the class should wear their uniforms and for the evening wear church clothes or uniform, no jeans please. Please have your child to the church basement on Wednesday night at 6:50.
For our Christmas party on December 22 we will be baking cookies to give to others. I will need about 6 helpers to help with the mixing, baking, and packaging. Each child will get cookie gifts with a Christmas message to give away to neighbors, friends, and family members. I still need several helpers if you can help on Thursday, December 22, 9:00-11:00 please let me know.
Thanks for your prayers for my daughter Grace. The doctor was pleased how the surgery went and he expects a full recovery. She is dealing with the pain and lack of use of her arm. Please continue to pray as there is a three month recovery from the surgeries.
Blessings this Advent,
Amy Bernhardt
