You who made the heaven's splendor,
every dancing star of night,
make us shine with gentle justice,
let us each reflect your light.
Mighty God of all creation,
gentle Christ who lights our way,
Loving Spirit of salvation, lead us on to endless day.
Joyous Light of Heavenly Glory verse 3
We live in a dark world. We are full of sin and we love the darkness. Yet God loved us so much that He sent Jesus the LIGHT, a Savior for all sinners.
During this lent remember what Christ has done for you.
He loves you, died for you, forgives you, rose for you, gives you new life, and lights your path.
SHINE FOR HIM!!
IMPORTANT DATES:
Friday March 8 - GRANDPARENT'S DAY- Please let you grandparent or special guest know the schedule that was in the invitation. Our class will be performing a poem in the Talent Show. (I will video our performance and post it on the blog next week!) We will end the day in Church. The students will be dismissed from the church, so if the child's grandparent is not taking him/her home please come into the church to pick up your child. PLEASE DO NOT SEND BACKPACKS to school on Friday. Friday Folders will come home on Thursday.

I have noticed a lot correct and returns on MATH HOMEWORK. Please remind your child to read and follow the directions as well as complete all the problems.
You will see some Reading Comprehension Assessments. This helps the students get ready for the Achievement Test as well as helps me see how they are doing. I am very proud of the students work.
Your child may tell you, "Mrs. Bernhardt is getting us ready for second grade." I have been less hands on with the class and encouraging them to be more independent. We are working on independence and being responsible during morning work, centers, and independent work. I want my students to be able to think and solve problems. The class loves showing me how independent and responsible they can be!!
