LEVELED READING BOOKS: On Monday your child will bring home a book that is on your child's level and your child should be able to read it with minimal help. Please have your child read these books, they should even read them several times. This helps to build fluency and self confidence. Please send the books back on the following Monday. Each week your child will receive a new book. If books are not returned or lost there is a $1 fee to replace the book.
Reading is so important in First Grade. The best way to become a good reader is to READ, READ, READ! Thank you for helping your child become a good reader.

| Noah asked us a question about a Sea Lamprey, we voted to to see if they eat people. We then watched a video about sea lamprey, they rarely attack people but sometimes a sea lamprey may think a person is a cold blooded fish. The people have survived the attacks. |
