September 13, 2013

Mr. Marolf uses the phrase "We are Bobcat Nation!"  He 'signs off' the daily announcements by proudly saying that we are Bobcat Nation!  The kids love it.  Just say to your first grader WE ARE and wait for the response.

Yet we ARE so much more.  Our Bible verse for next week tells us that God CHOSE us.  We are HIS CHILDREN!  We learned in Religion how Jacob was forgiven and how Joseph forgave his brothers.  We are FORGIVEN!  We see and feel daily that  God is love.  We are SAVED!  How wonderful it is that God chose us to be HIS CHILDREN we are LOVED!

WE SING SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14 at the 5:00 SERVICE.  PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD IN THE UPPER MUSIC ROOM AT 4:40 TO WARM UP!  AFTER CHURCH YOUR MAY PICK YOUR CHILD UP IN THE WELCOME CENTER.  (The back, outside of the sanctuary)

LEVELED READING BOOKS:  On Monday your child will bring home a book that is on your child's level and your child should be able to read it with minimal help.  Please have your child read these books, they should even read them several times.  This helps to build fluency and self confidence.  Please send the books back on Friday. Each week your child will receive a new book.  Please check the box on the reading log at the end of the week to show me your child read the leveled reader.

Reading is so important in First Grade.  The best way to become a good reader is to READ, READ, READ!  Thank you for helping your child become a good reader.

BOBCAT SHUFFLE: Please help make our FALL FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS.  We need runners and volunteers.  If you can help please go to: : http://tinyurl.com/pcga8po

I look forward to worshipping with you.  It is a very special when the first graders help to lead the worship with song.  Listen for us as we sing from the balcony.  I love to hear the young members sing and pray in church.  Everyone on God's Family is special and important.  Watch the video as hear us praising God!

Enjoy the cooler weather this weekend and I will see you Saturday night at church.

In HIM,
Amy
Sorry the video is sideways, but just listen to the voices in praise!
