September 8, 2023

 This week we learned about God protecting Noah and how God's rainbow reminds us of His promise to care and love us.  God used the flood to wash the earth; the world was given a new life.  God uses His Word and the waters of Baptism to wash our sins away and gives us the gift of eternal life.  I am thankful that God is faithful.

Remember God keeps His promises to us!

PARENT CHAPERONES and HELPERS

Please look at the 3 slides to see when you were assigned to help.  I think each family was assigned 3 times to help.

Parent Chaperones and Helpers

It is important that any parent who is chaperoning a field trip have a current background check on file.   If you plan on going on any field trip this school year please contact Mrs. Holtz in the office for a background check.  THANK YOU!

If you are signed up for the Botanical Garden field trip please get contact the office soon for your background check!

If you are interested in learning about childhood anxiety this is a great presenter.  Even though First grade is past early childhood I would highly recommend this presentation!
(If I didn't volunteer at an inner city after school care on Tuesday I would attend she is really good)
Please look at the sentence rubric it is on the back of one of our practice sentences.

You are your child’s PFD!!
Pastor Rouland in Confirmation always says at the first class, you are your child’s PFD, Personal Faith Developer.  As parents we are given the task of developing our child’s faith.  Do not fear you are not alone in this task.  The Holy Spirit will help you along with Zion Church and School.  You may wonder what a PFD does;
Pastor Rouland gives three responsibilities:
set an example, be authentic, and be faithful.

May God bless you in your job of PFD!
