Where to go.. |
We talked about where we go and what to tell.
Angie Steinbacher gave our opening chapel and told us about her work. She shared with us the message that we all can go and share the Good News that Jesus loves us, Jesus died for us, and Jesus rose for us NOW WE CAN GO!!

I have a no homework on Fridays Policy. The weekends are for family time so I do not give math homework on Fridays. |
Your child may bring a water bottle to school to drink during the day. Please send a bottle that has a sippy type lid that pops up to keep spills to a minimum.
Please look in your child's GREEN Friday Folder each week. Please mark the church and Sunday school attendance and initial so that I know you have looked at the Friday Folder! There isn't any homework in the Friday Folder this week, just notes from the office.
Hot Lunch Milk Policy: If your child gets a hot lunch a milk is included. If your would rather your child have a juice or water please send in a note requesting water or juice. The child doesn't have to have an allergy to milk, but does need note from a parent.

A note from the Cross Country Coach |
First and Second Grade Cross Country team: We are excited to start a new season this school year! Our first practice will be Tuesday, August 21st from 3:15-4pm. There will be a parent meeting immediately following practice in the Commons. Information and a schedule will be given to you at that time. Just a reminder (especially for first graders or new runners) that you will need to get your child to practice after school. It is not the classroom teachers responsibility as they have an entire class to get safely through dismissal. It works best to meet your child right after school the first couple of practices to show them where to change and where to walk to meet our team (the Commons) to take attendance and head our together to practice. After your child has the routine down, they won't need your assistance after school. Please make sure your child has a FULL water bottle for practice! Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday! ~Rachel Tyler

We learned how to play BOBCAT PIT in PE! |
We learned about our Science journals. Today we were asked about if we thought unicorns were real. |

We watched a video that told us that fossils have been found of a mammal that had only one horn. It lived when dinosaurs were alive and it is extinct now. WOW!! |
We shared our guesses and what we learned. |
For the first time we stopped everything and sang, "Liam just lost a tooth, lost a tooth, lost a tooth! Liam just lost a tooth Congratulations Liam!" |
We worked on number sense with 10 frames. |
Mrs. Helmkamp taught us our first STEAM class and we learned about the T- technology in our classroom. We learned about how we will use the iPads in our room to help us learn. |
We had such a fun time with the All About Me bags. The things we learned about each other included: Pineapple Willys, dogs named Moseley, Scout, Lincoln, and Michigan, a few who love unicorns, a sad story about bats and disease, baseball medals, superhero, starwars, Pete the Cat, fish bait, God's eyes, Cardinals and a love for Yadi, and racing cars.
Our completed projects on the first day.
