We had a GREAT National Lutheran Schools Week!
What a week! We had so much fun celebrating the thousands of blessings God gives to us. We thank God for the blessings of family, friends, food, shelter, teachers, pastors, and Zion church and school. But the best blessing God gives us is His love for us. God showed His great big love by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners!
What a privilege to be able to be a blessing to others. As part of Lutheran School's Week our school set a goal to collect $1,000 for Giving Gardens. God is good and we collected $1,373.12! Thank you for sharing your blessings with others!
A Look Ahead:
FRIDAY MARCH 9 is the end of THIRD QUARTER. Report Cards will be uploaded to view on Friday March 16. I will put out a google document (attached to next week's blog) to sign up for a parent conference. If you would like to meet with me you may sign up for a time.
Monday started off wearing our comfy pajamas to school. |

SCIENCE DAY AT LUTHERAN HIGH: APRIL 21 9:00 am
This is a fun morning of Science competitions. First Graders can participate in 3: Tallest Bean Plant Competition, Egg Drop, and Tower Building. The Bean Plant and Egg Drop involved work at home and Tower Building involves building a tower with straws and pins with a partner. Please look at the information sheets and let me know if your child would like to participate. Mrs. Stewart has the bean seeds so let me know by email and I will get you the beans ASAP.
Have you made plans to attend Zion’s Auction? It is a great time to raise money and have a fun time with others. Our class is donating a great piece of First Grade Art. I will post a picture of it on the blog as soon as we are finished with it. Zion's Auction is March 30.
I will post pictures from Grandparent's Day tomorrow after school.
I want to tell you what a wonderful blessing your child is to me. I really love coming to work everyday. Your children make my job a joy. Thank you for your support. I can't believe we are entering the fourth quarter and I will soon be passing these blessings on to another teacher!
Have a great weekend. May Christ be in your weekend as you make time to worship Him!

Next week we will be celebrating Lutheran Schools Week. We get to thank God for the blessings He gives us at Zion Lutheran School. At any school your child would grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Zion is special, because here at Zion your child will grow also grow spiritually in God's Grace. At Zion your child is daily fed with God's Word, your child is surrounded by God's love and forgiveness, and your child always with family. Praise God for the growth at our Lutheran School!!
