Library Books Due by Thursday May 2!
We are done with Library for this year.  A BIG thank you to all the parents who helped with our library time!
Please return all library books by May 2!
Thank you!

Plan on attending...  The First- Third Grade musical will be on TUESDAY. MAY 21 @ 6 pm.  Our class is in the chorus for this musical!!!  Students will be given special t-shirts to wear the night of the musical with any uniform bottoms.
As we are getting closer to being second grade I am expecting more independence with some papers.  We have been working on following directions and checking over our work before we turn the work in.  We have been working on doing the Math review papers more independently. If a student doesn't follow directions or gets items incorrect the papers will be sent home CAR!

If your child is struggling with the fact papers, getting 20 in 1 minute, please work with them and use the flashcards I send home.  Monday is a learning day and is not a timed day. We usually practice the facts, then do the timed worksheet twice Tuesday - Thursday, with assessment on Friday.
I would love any sports schedules as I would like to try to attend some games this spring if I am able.  Thanks!

As it gets closer to summer I want to remind you not to take a vacation from God.  This class loves to lead devotions. They also have a very mature prayer life.  They are excited to hear and read the Bible. They love to share the GOOD NEWS!  I ask that you continue to nourish their faith.

Make a commitment to attend church weekly.

Show your children that nothing is more important than God,
-not vacations (visit another church where you are vacationing),
-not sports (take advantage of the various services times and days),
-not sleeping in or boating or golf (show that God is important to you and make a point to worship even when it isn’t easy).

Your child will be blessed by your faithfulness to worship and will follow your example.

In Him,
Amy

This week was Kindness Week, planned by Student Council.  We made them a thank you.
