I want to share the GOOD NEWS with you!

I hope your child has been a witness to our Risen Savior to you.
The Easter candle is to be used by your family with your first grader during family devotion led by the first grader.  I hope your child did the this past week's devotion on Matthew 28:5-6.

May your family be blessed by God's Word!
Each week your child will have two devotions to lead with your family.  Look for the devotions on Mondays and Thursdays:)
A Look Ahead
Memory: Job 19:25
Religion: Jesus is Alive
Word Work- tch - If the last 'ch' sound comes after a consonant, the ending is usually ch. Look at these examples – sear- ch, chur-ch. If the final 'ch' sound comes after a one-letter vowel, it is usually spelled -tch. For example: fe-tch, ca-tch, pi-tch, wa-tch, dispa-tch.
Grammar: adjectives
Writing: personal narrative
Science:weather
Social Studies: needs and wants
Art: pottery

Administrative Professional Day is next Wednesday April 27, consider thanking Mrs. Holtz for all she does for us here at school!

Plan on attending...  The First- Third Grade musical will be on Thursday, May 12th @ 6 pm.  Our class is in the chorus for this musical!!!  Students will be given special t-shirts to wear the night of the musical with any uniform bottoms.
I hope  you are enjoying the Easter season with your child.  Easter is more than just Easter Sunday, we  celebrate our risen Savior for 40 days.  May you include family devotions (led by your child), weekend worship, and religious displays! (again your child should have somethings from school to add to your decor)

In HIS Peace,
Amy Bernhardt
