This is the week that people and communities unite and take a visible stand against substance abuse.  Show your personal commitment to a drug-free and healthy lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon and these fun dress days.
*Regular dress code applies to all dress days except for the special day’s theme

Monday: Messy Hair day, Messy hair don't care about drugs. The students can come to school with messy hair.

Tuesday: Twin Day, Keep your double out of trouble. You can wear the same shirt or color as your friend. 
If kids want to be my twin I am wearing a red polo and Khaki pants!!

Wednesday: Calling Drew’s Avengers! - Wear a Super Hero Shirt and jeans  
Please bring your superhero items to chapel on Wednesday October 25

Thursday: Lumberjack day, Chop drugs out of your life. Wear a flannel shirt.

 Friday: Red Day, In Christ I Stand, against drugs. Spirit shirt and jeans.

 WE HAVE MANY TOYS IN OUR BIN!

Our offerings this year are going to Friends of Kids with Cancer.  
On Wednesday, October 25 we will be having a special offering.  
In honor of Drew Albrittons’ 8th birthday, we will be collecting superhero items and all donations will be delivered to Friends of Kids with Cancer.
Drew was a preschooler here at Zion who bravely fought cancer and now is with the biggest superhero of all, Jesus! 
Please bring your superhero items to chapel on Wednesday October 25.
Action figures, costumes, toys, movies, backpacks, Lego sets, video games, shirts, or any items with a super hero theme are all welcome.

Fall Party:  October 27 We will be doing a service project.  
We will be make care packages for college students.  
PLEASE HELP by going to the link and sign up to bring an item to include in the package.
  I want to put together 25 packages. 
 I need 25 individual packages of the listed items.

 Thank you Miss Andrews for sharing with us that God is our help.  He helped the Israelites stay safe from the Philistines.
What a JOY it was to hear the First Graders leading songs last Sunday.  I am thankful that God invites me to the wedding feast and that He covers me in the blood of Jesus so that my sins are forgiven and I wear the wedding garment of Life.  
May you worship our AWESOME GOD this longer weekend!

Even though it was a short week we packed in so many activities...

we made a Luther's Seal in the style of Eric Carle with our buddy preschool class, we enjoyed a fun filled Apple Day, and we had a wonderful field trip to the Botanical Gardens. Thank you parents who help with these two special days!!
