October 27, 2017

This week we learned about Martin Luther.  We learned that the Holy Spirit made him bold to tell the truth about God.  He told others what the Bible tells us about God.  Martin Luther wrote 95 true statement, thesis, about God.  He nailed them to the church door on October 31, 1517.  He wanted everyone to read and know the truth about God.  In First Grade we pray that God makes us bold to tell others the truth about God.  I had the class write down true statements about God.

Here are a few:

God is my shepherd.
God is Truth.
God never tells lies.
Jesus loves us.
Jesus died on the cross.
Jesus never stops loving us.
Jesus forgives us when we sin.
Jesus is with us wherever go.
Jesus rose on Easter.
God will never stop forgiving us.
We will go to heaven and live with Jesus.
Someday God will take us to paradise.
God is our Savior.
You don't have to pay to go to heaven.
Jesus will love us forever.
God is our refuge and strength.
God is with you when you are scared.
Jesus will protect you.
Jesus helps us.

This year’s goal is 640,000 stackers. We will have about 250 kids and a few adults adding to that total number.

If you can volunteer on Thursday, Nov. 2017 please email Mrs. Steinbacher at msteinbacher@zionharvester.org.
