March 31, 2017

In the stars that grace the darkness,
In the blazing sun of dawn,
In the light of peace and wisdom,
We can hear your quiet song.
Love that fills the night with wonder,
Love that warms the weary soul,
Love that burst all chains asunder,
Set us free and make us whole.

Joyous Light of Heavenly Glory verse 2

ACHIEVEMENT TEST NEXT WEEK
Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.  This is the first time the students will be experiencing this type of testing.  It is important that they learn the process and get used to this type of evaluation tool.  Although in first grade the accuracy of the assessment maybe compromised due to the limited exposure to this type of test.  The test is another tool to help assess students achievement.  It is good to practice taking these types of tests and will give some sort of a baseline for future years.  We have spent time this past week talking and learning about taking tests.  You will see two different practice tests in the Friday Folders. I always stress to just do your best.  Please don't put any pressure on your child about this test.  You probably don't even need to mention the tests to your child.

Many students even report this as a favorite week because we do  many fun activities between tests!

PLEASE SEND IN AN EGG CARTON WITH 12 PLASTIC EGGS to school by April 7.
We will be doing a religion project on April 10.

Miss Trampe was secretary for the day and read to us.

This Wednesday our Faith Families learned that a small rock a can make a big ripple in a pond.  As Faith Families we made activity bags for kids with cancer.  These bags were put together in a small amount of time but the 160 activity bags will make a big impact to those who receive them.  It is exciting to watch the students willingly spend their time sharing God’s love with children they will never meet.
We also celebrated Baptismal Birthdays in March and April.
