Your child is coming home today with packages of cookies.  The packages are meant to be SHARED with others, neighbors, friends, relatives as a way to SHARE the LOVE of JESUS!

Here is the recipe for the cookies we made, this is an easy recipe that makes good cookies!

First Grade Christmas Cookies 
INGREDIENTS
1 Box of White Cake Mix
1/3 Cup Oil
2 Eggs
Sprinkles
1/2 Cup mini chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
     1 Preheat oven at 350º F.
2 Instead of following the instruction on the cake mix     
                box combine the dry cake mix powder, 1/3 cup oil 
                and 2 eggs together.
3 Stir with a SPOON until it’s thoroughly moist.
4 Add the chocolate chips to the cake batter and mix 
                together.
5 Shape dough into 1″ balls. Place them about 2″ 
                apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
6 With the bottom of a glass dipped in flour, flatten to 
                approximately 1/4″ thick.
7 Add sprinkles to the top of each cookie.
8 Bake them at 350º F for 7 to 8 minutes. Do not 
                overcook them, they will get harder as they dry.
9 Enjoy!


Christmas Around the World in Social Studies

 
Bananas went back home but he sent his friends to live with us!
We learned about the Christmas story in devotions and added a ornament each day.
We are learning about even and odd numbers.

We practiced reading the special book for the preschoolers.

We went to our buddy preschool class and made a candy cane ornament with them, read them a Christmas story and helped them color.
