ADVENT SERVICE:

We lead the Advent Worship service WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 14 at 10 am and 7 pm.
Each child has an individual speaking part.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that your child learns their speaking part. I have put the speaking parts in your child's Friday folder and it is also on their memory sheet in the homework folder. Please help your child learn the part loud and slow.  The part is the memory work for the week of December 9. But we will begin practicing December 2 and it will be helpful for your child to know their part.
At the 10 am service your child should just wear the school uniform and for the 7 pm service your child may wear church clothes or school uniform.

I participate in Six Flags Read to Succeed Program.  Information about the program is in the Friday Folder.  This is a fun program, I don't require you to participate it is your choice. You may return the form as soon as your child completes the reading.  All forms must be completed by February 27, 2017

I have opened the Scholastic Order in case you want to get books for Christmas presents.  Please order by November 28.  See flyer and coupon for a free book in Friday Folder.

I am looking to borrow a 4-5 foot tree for our classroom.  If you have one we could borrow please email me.  Thanks

Lutheran High School's Student Council invites you to visit with Santa.  From prior experience, this is a great Santa and there are few if no lines.  Pictures are taken and posted to a website and you can take your own photos as well.
ST. NICK NITE
COME AND SEE ST. NICK!
Lutheran High School invites children and their parents to
"St. Nick Nite" on Friday, Dec. 2, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Lutheran High School, 5100 Mexico Road.
In addition to enjoying boys' and girls' Cougar basketball games, you'll have the opportunity to have your picture taken with "Jolly Old St. Nick!"  We are partnering with Fire Truck of Toys and collecting New, Unwrapped Toys to donate to girls and boys in our own community! Please consider donating in a toy and getting your picture taken with Santa!

Christmas Party/Service Project
For our Christmas party on December 22 we will be baking cookies to give to others.  I will need about 6 helpers to help with the mixing, baking, and packaging.  Each child will get cookie gifts with a Christmas message to give away to neighbors, friends, and family members.  If you can help on Thursday, December 22,  9:00-11:00 please let me know.
Thanks

Ever wonder how your child learns the memory...
