It is so awesome that we are in a Lutheran School that is raising up faithful disciples.  These children are being nurtured in the faith and can go out and tell the world about JESUS!!
LET'S CELEBRATE!!!!

Monday, January 27
PJ DAY- wear pajamas/sweats, you may bring one stuffed animal, you may wear slippers in the room, but bring shoes for outside.

ICE CREAM TREATS at lunch for everyone!

Tuesday January 28

CRAZY CLASH DAY-mix up your dress with mismatched clothes, please no dyed or colored hair.

ARISON CONCERT at Immanuel Lutheran School for Kindergarten - 3rd grades. We will leave at 12:30 and return at 2:30

Wednesday January 29

DISCIPLES OF THE FUTURE- CAREER DAY- dress like what you want to be when you grow up, jeans optional

Thursday January 30

SPIRIT DAY- Wear your Zion Spirit wear red, white and black, jeans optional

TEACHER VS EIGHTH GRADE VOLLEYBALL ASSEMBLY at 1:30

Friday January 31

FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM DAY- Wear your favorite sport's team apparel, jeans optional

SHOW ME JUMPERS ASSEMBLY 1:45

There are many special days for Lutheran Schools Week.  Your child does NOT have to wear a uniform if he/she is participating in the special dress days.  If your child chooses not to wear the special dress then he/she will need to be in uniform.  Jeans are allowed this week.

I will out of school on Monday, January 27.  My oldest daughter is having knee surgery.  We would appreciate prayers as this is her second surgery on this knee.

We SING in Church on Sunday February 2 at the 11:00am service.  Please have your child in the music room by 10:45.

VALENTINES:  We will be making our valentine boxes here AT SCHOOL.  Each child my give bring Valentine's to hand out.  Please include a Valentine for each child in our class.  You may look in the school directory for the names of each child in our class.  PLEASE NO CANDY!  This year we are asking that you DO NOT send candy to school with the Valentines.  Thank you

PARENT HELPERS NEEDED:

On Monday, April 28 the Magic House is coming to do a hands on program for us.  I need 3 parents who will volunteer to help.  The volunteers must be able to commit to being here from 12:00-3 that afternoon.  We are sharing the program with Mrs. Cornejo's class and some of the time you will be working with that class.  You will be trained from 12:00-12:30 by the Magic House staff.  Please email me if you can commit to the time and are willing to volunteer.

On Thursday a lot of people were dressed alike...










We are making a book about the planets.


We were inspired by Jim Dine in art this week.


Come look at our art in the Welcome Center this Sunday.


Jim Dine took common shapes and used many different techniques to paint them.
We used warm and cool colors of chalk.
WE HAD A GREAT 100 DAY CELEBRATION!! THANK YOU TO MRS. HORN WHO PLANNED AND ORGANIZED AND THANK YOU TO THE PARENTS WHO CAME TO HELP!
We collected 103 jars of baby food for the 100th day of school!


We made 100 day crowns.

We built structures with 100 marshmallows and toothpicks.




We painted 100 dots on a kaleidoscope.


We made 100 Valentine Cards for Meals on Wheels.






We built forts with 100 cups.







We made portraits of what we thought we would look like when we are 100 years old.




We made pictures using the digits 1 0 0.




We made our own creations with 100 legos.































We filled a fish bowl with 100 fish.


We set up 100 cereal boxes as giant dominos...




...and watch them knock each other down.

We ate a fun 100 day snack!

We are 100 days smarter!!!
