Your child has math homework TONIGHT, TUESDAY OCTOBER 11!  Please make sure it is done and brought back to school on Monday.  

Due to the short week I will not be handing out the Friday Folders today.  This week's work will come home next week.

Alphabet: matching beginning and ending sounds

Phonics/Word Building: build short o words with the chunks op, ob, ot, og, ox, od

Computer: work on adding doubles

Poetry:  A Fall Poem

Name:  making plural nouns

Science/Math: sorting animals

Writing: conference and publish our Apple stories

Grammar: plurals with es and irregular plural nouns

Spelling: Lesson 8 Test will be on Thursday October 20

Math: Tuesday- FACT TEST OVER DOUBLES 1-5 

(a guideline for mastery is  20 problems in 3 minutes)

Science: continue animal groups

Around the World: France

Art: Maurice Sendak

Please look at your child's math fact practices, if they are having trouble with the facts PLEASE make flashcards and practice at home!

Begin working on Second Quarters Book Bingo Card.  It will be due December 19.  Finish it up before the Christmas rush.  The time for Book Bingo also counts towards BOOK IT!  The books that come home on Mondays also can count.  Try working on a yellow card to win a free book!
