February 24, 2023

"Sign us with ashes, merciful God,
children of dust, as to dust we return.
Sign us with ashes, merciful God,
mark us and make us your own."

God has marked us at our baptisms.  He makes us His and promises to never let go.  As we journey through Lent let us focus on the price that was paid for us.  To claim us God sacrificed His only Son.  Praise be to God for His everlasting love for us.

Our classroom LENT worship centers.

I hope your family will use the Lent worship center.  May this be a reminder to spend time as a family around God’s Word and in prayer.  After Lent you may take the candles out (Save them for next year) and hang the cross up with the plain side out.  Then it is a year long reminder of our SAVIOR!!  Thank you to Mr. Bernhardt, for cutting out the cross pieces for us to put together!
Check last week's post, February February 16 for ideas on how to use the Lent Cross.

This Friday is Grandparent/ Special Friend Day
I can't wait to meet all the grandparents and special friends!

PLEASE SEND IN AN EGG CARTON WITH 12 PLASTIC EGGS to school by March 31.  We will be doing a religion project on April 3. You may sent them in any time before March 31.

I have invited my students to sit with me in church on Wednesday afternoons at the 3:30 Lent service.  It is fun for me to have kids in my pew again and see church through their eyes! If you child wants to sit with me have them meet me in the back of church!

Make worship and devotions a part of your weekend schedule!

In HIS Love,
Amy
