You are your child’s PFD!!
Pastor Rouland in Confirmation always says at the first class, you are your child’s PFD, Personal Faith Developer. As parents we are given the task of developing our child’s faith. Do not fear you are not alone in this task. The Holy Spirit will help you along with Zion Church and School. You may wonder what a PFD does;
Pastor Rouland gives three responsibilities:
set an example, be authentic, and be faithful.
May God bless you in your job of PFD! A LOOK AHEAD:

It was very exciting to participate in THE STORY last Sunday. This week there will be a new basement configuration to accommodate those attending and the air condition (which wasn't working) has been fixed. If you did not attend it is not too late to start.
Let your journey begin as we find our story in God's Story.
· Adults - Gather in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and donuts. Class begins at 9:30 am
· Children / Sunday School (PK3- 5th Grade) - Parents can drop children off in the School Commons at 9:20 am. From there they will go to their age appropriate classrooms for stories, crafts and snacks.
· Jr. High Students - Meet in the Jr. High Building with Mr. Micah Braddy for a teen's version of The Story.
I will send home offering envelopes on TUESDAYS. Our offering are supporting St. Matthews school in St. Louis City. More information to come... |
REMEMBER THE TOGETHER WE ARE BETTER ON GOING FUNDRAISER! In your Friday Folder is the order form, fill it out and send it back on Monday. My family uses this as a great way to stay on budget. When the cards are done I can't buy more till next week!
Up coming dates:
September 2: School dismissed at noon
September 17: Field trip to Missouri Botanical Garden
September 18: No School Teacher Inservice
